He is a proud alumnus of Cancer Institute (WIA), Chennai where he was awarded a gold medal for his academic performance as the Best Outgoing Surgical Oncologist and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow, United Kingdom where he attained a postgraduate diploma in surgery.

During his tenure as an oncologist, Dr. Balasubramanian has amassed comprehensive knowledge and experience in Breast and Gynecological Cancers, Thoracic Cancer, Gastrointestinal Cancer, and Head and Neck Cancers. Apart from this, he holds professional memberships at reputed cancer organizations such as IASO (Indian Association of Surgical Oncology), ISO (Indian Society of Oncology), Association of Surgeons of India, and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
